Dr. Jibrell was a senior management consultant at IBM for nearly a decade, prior to becoming an independent global strategist and advisor. Her expertise in Strategic Direction, Leadership Support, Implementation, Organizational Change Management, Communications and Facilitation are highly sought.
Dr. Jibrell specializes in restructuring complex and global organizations or industries, recently including her assistance with The Republic of Côte d’Ivoire’s value-chain for the US$1Billion cashew sector. Dr. Jibrell’s national-level strategy and implementation has successfully allowed West African processors to gain direct export to the USA, additional foreign markets, as well as improved local consumption. Dr. Jibrell’s professional success, she was invited into academia in 2010 for classroom and on-line University instruction and program development at Howard University. As an Adjunct Professor and consultant with Howard University, Professor Jibrell develops curriculum and teaches in two disciplines, International Business (MBA) and African Studies (undergraduate). Dr. Jibrell has developed curriculum or redesigned 7 courses that she has taught at Howard. As well as develop long-standing programs with the University, including with Universities in Africa and Asia. Other achievements include serving as Chair of the Board of Directors for Adeso, an awardwinning, African-led, international NGO based in East Africa. Adeso implemented programs in Somalia, Kenya and South Sudan. Where her leadership helped to spearhead growth from US$500,000 to US$35M+ annually, with clean financial audits, even while working in Al-Shabaab controlled areas. Dr. Jibrell’s work has successfully engaged and empowered diaspora organizations and communities including Central African Republic, Cameroon, and Côte d’Ivoire. Dr. Jibrell is affectionately known as the “Mid-wife of The Republic of South Sudan”, for her oversight role in their referendum needs assessment toward sovereign independence as the world’s newest nation. Dr. Jibrell served on the official Africa Growth and Opportunities Act (AGOA) Advisory Council and effectively advocated to get the bill passed by the United States Congress for the previous 10-year extension. Furthermore, Dr. Jibrell received an United Nations association award for her works with women harvesters and producers of cash crops. Her Excellency Ambassador Dr. Jibrell is a Global Peace Ambassador with special consultative status with the United Nations and a recent UNESCO Center for Peace winner. Furthermore, H.E. Dr. Jibrell is a proud 2025 recipient of The United States President Lifetime Achievement Award, awarded by the White House. Beyond the professional titles, Dr. Jibrell is also of royal status. Her Majesty Nanan Dr. Akua Kalia Adayé, is an American-born paramount Queenmother enstooled in her ancestral Royal Brong Kingdom of Côte d’Ivoire and neighboring Ghana. Queenmother Nanan Akua Kalia Adayé is the first foreign-born woman crowned as a traditional ruler in Côte d’Ivoire. Recently, Her Majesty was awarded a “Chiefs for Change” Proclamation for her exemplary role within the African Chieftaincy. Dr. Jibrell earned her BA in Critical Social Thought and Spanish from Mount Holyoke College. Dr. Jibrell then earned her MBA international business from Howard University, where she earned a distinguished Alumni Award from the School of Business. After business school, she became an award winning Senior Global Consultant at a Fortune 500 company. Dr. Jibrell earned her PhD in African Studies, also at Howard University, as a Chief MKO Abiola Scholar, to fine-tune Africanbased solutions for African nations as she grew her consultancy. Dr. Jibrell received her certification in Ministry and Theology from Princeton’s Theological Seminary, which is helpful as she navigates intense developing environments. As a global advisor, she is native or conversational in multiple languages. Dr. Jibrell lives in Bethesda, MD with her 15-year old son.
